Billing Information
Utility
Water and trash bills are billed at the beginning of each quarter (January, April, July, and October). They are due within 30 days. Delinquent accounts are charged interest and penalty for each month late.
There are several social service agencies in the area that may be able to help you in a time of need. Please review Milton Area Help Agencies.
Property Taxes
Property tax bills are mailed to property owners annually in January. Tax bills are due March 31st of the current year. Delinquent accounts will be charged a penalty and interest for each month late.
Online Bill Pay
To pay your water/trash bill, property tax bill, or any other town invoice online, visit the Online Billing Portal. The portal will display each billing type and account details. Use the assigned PIN on the invoice to access your open invoice, tax or utility account.
Sewer Billing / Services
For questions regarding your sewer (wastewater) bill, account inquiries, or to transfer service, please call Artesian Customer Service toll free at 1 (800) 332-5114. Please have your account number available when calling. To follow is a link to the Artesian Water website for additional information.
Licenses and Fees for Services
The Town of Milton licenses businesses and rental properties, as well as providing numerous services for a fee. Please refer to the current Fee Schedule.
Human Resources
Section 18 of the Charter of the Town of Milton specifies the duties of the Town Manager. This includes “acting as personnel officer for the Town, including hiring, evaluating, promoting and disciplining employees and establishing procedures for others to follow in such matters.”
Chapter 26 of the Municipal Code further details the Town Manager’s role as Personnel Officer and the relationship with the Personnel Committee. “The Personnel System shall be managed by and under the direction of the Personnel Committee.” The Personnel System is comprised of Chapter 26 of the Municipal Code, the position classification system (26-4) and the wage and salary pay plan (26-5).
